This is a rare find from the battlefield a German front lower shield from 3.7cm from pak 36 anti-tank gun.The shield looks like it has been ripped of the gun in an explosion it has bent but does still have some original paintwork fairly clear to see it is still very solid not braking up or falling apart at all it has been very well cleaned and is perfect for display or any collection. The shield was recovered from near the town of Goch in the Reichswald Forest which was part of the Siegfried Line this area was defended in the battle by the 6th Parachute division with other troops so possibly a fallschirmjagern used andt-tank in the battle that was fought between 8th February to 11th March 1945 in Germany. The shield comes with a A5 laminated information card with map and pictures.
