This is a 1st Pattern British Brodie Helmet it is a relic and has no liner or chinstrap but is a very nice find from the battlefield. The helmet is rusty but still in very solid condition it has been well cleaned after its recovery perfect for display or any collection. This is very rare to get such a nice solid Brodie helmet from the battlefield as they normally now just brake up when they are found due to rusting away as they were not as well made and thinner metal then other helmets. This helmet was recovered many years ago from the Ypres battlefield of 1914-1918 in Belgium. This is a cracking relic from the famous Flanders battlefield.
