This is a British soldiers 1907 pattern lee enfield bayonet handle section, the blade has blown and ripped just down from the handle. The bayonet with none of its original wooden handle in place but it is in nice condition for a recovered relic it is still very solid condition it does have some surface rust and some pitting but very nice other then that a very well cleaned relic which is perfect for display or any collection. The bayonet was recovered in woods near the village of Flers on the Somme battlefield 1916-1918. Flers was the first village captured using tanks in September 1916 during the battle of the Somme.
