This is a German Ersatz Bayonet remains in its scabbard nice condition relic. The blade, handle section is still inside the scabbard both have ripped off in an explosion the bayonet has been nicely cleaned it is in relic but solid condition it is rusty but not crumbling or braking up and a nice example of a rarer to find type of battlefield recovered German bayonet which is perfect for display or any collection. This bayonet was recovered from the village of Flers an area that was the first captured using tanks on the Somme battlefield of 1916
