    This group of parts are aluminium airframe sections 2 of them both with black paintwork from the underbelly of the aircraft also 2 sections of engine case mag allow made covered in black paintwork and brass radiator grill remains ripped apart with 2 brass fitting pipes with wiring from inside one of the merlin engines.The group of parts still retain a lot of there original colours and have been very nicely cleaned perfect to display the parts are 2-6 inches long in size and a rare group of parts.This group of parts was recovered from RAF Lancaster bomber ED910 code name C for Charlie shot down on the Dambuster raid on the 16th May 1943.A rare relic from this famous raid.  

    RAF Lancaster ED910 code name C for Charlie on the Dambuster raid on 16th to 17th May 1943.The plane took off for the raid 12.03am on the morning of the 17th May and was shot down over Hamm in Germany at 2.35am all the crew apart from one were killed Frank Tees was taken prisoner.

    Operation Chastise was an attack on German dams carried out on 16–17 May 1943 by Royal Air Force No. 617 Squadron, subsequently publicised as the "Dam Busters" using a specially developed "bouncing bomb" invented and developed by Barnes Wallis. The Möhne and Edersee Dams were breached, causing catastrophic flooding of the Ruhr valley and of villages in the Eder valley; the Sorpe dam sustained only minor damage. Two hydroelectric power stations were destroyed and several more were damaged. Factories and mines were also either damaged or destroyed. An estimated 1,600 people drowned. The damage was mitigated by rapid repairs by the Germans, with production returning to normal in September.
