This is a very nice relic from the air war over Normandy.This is a aluminium and metal airframe structure section still with a lot of red paintwork it is 2 parts bolted together and is a joint of some sort it has ripped and bent by the impact of the crash the airframe section has been very well cleaned perfect for display or any collection it is 33 inches by 2 half inches wide in size. The part comes from B-24 Liberator shot down and crashed 15th June 1944 in Normandy shot down by German ace by Pips Priller. This airframe section comes with a A5 laminated information sheet with pilots photo and crash site photo and is a cracking relic from a US B-24 Liberator bomber shot down in Normandy.

This B-24H Liberator was badly shot-up by Col. Joseph Priller (his 100th victory) on June 15,1944 mission to bomb the railroad bridge at Tours,France. The crew managed to limp the plane back to the Normandy beachhead before bailing out and all of them were able to return to England. This crew had had a rough time in combat prior to this mission having had one gunner killed and another badly wounded on the May 29,1944 mission. The entire crew was killed on the July 7,1944 mission
