    This is a American 50 cal ammunition tin with white camouflage paintwork used by American Sherman Tank of the 4th Armoured Division.The box is near complete but the lid is broken from the tin and does not lock but it has its metal carry handle it does have some small rust holes and dents but with the white camouflage paint about 50 % still left clear to see a very rare to get a box from the battlefield and in such good condition that has cleaned up so well and is perfect for display or any collection the box comes with with a laminated A5 information sheet with information and photos.This box was was recovered from the site of a destroyed Sherman tank in the woods around Bastogne in the Ardennes Forest from the scene of the battle of the bulge in the winter of 1944-1945 a very nice and rare relic from this famous battle and Hitler's last big offensive of the war.
