    This is a cracking condition battlefield found US soldiers M1 helmet which is late 1942-1943 swivel bale chin strap loop pattern.The helmet which is in very nice condition semi- relic at worst with a lot of green paintwork but no liner it has no holes but a blast damage crack in the back the shell is  complete with some dents and knocks from use and complete with chin strap holders it has been very well cleaned and retains so much original colour it is perfect for display or any collection and overall in fantastic condition for a battlefield find and very rare to get american helmet from the battlefield in such good condition .The helmet came from a private collection in the Ardennes originally found many years ago in Bastogne used by a soldier in the Ardennes Forest from the battle of the bulge in the winter of 1944-1945.A very nice relic from this famous encircled pocket and battle in Hitler's last big offensive of the war.
