This is a Russian soldiers M36 aluminium mess tin with the soldiers name scratched on the front of the tin. The tin is in nice solid condition but is battle damaged with small impact holes and ripped, squashed and bent by the impact it still retains a lot of its original colour it does still have a lot of dirt on it the tin is in relic but solid condition but overall very good, nice condition for a recovered battlefield find lightly cleaned and perfect for display or any collection. The tin was recovered from near the village of Plota which is south Prokhorovka ware the main tank battle was on the 12th July 1943 the site of the largest Tank battle of the war and the last great German offensive of the war in the East at Kursk in Russia.
