    This is a German mg 34/42 single ammunition tin which is in relic condition there is surface rust and some heavier rust in places all over it is missing its lid and locks and the tin has bent .The tin has clear to see impact holes in one of the side panels clear battle damage it has has some small remains of yellow paint the sand camouflage paintwork it has been very well cleaned it is very solid not braking up or falling apart a very nice example of this mg ammunition tin battlefield recovered that is battle damaged This tin was recovered in the area of the village of Marinovka which was defended by the 297th Infantry Division also in the pit was RAD [Reich Labour Service] items as well all used during the battle of 1942-1943 at Stalingrad in Russia. The box part comes with A5 laminated information card.
