    This is a rare to find German KZ14 high explosive shell head which is in fantastic condition for recovered relic. The head has a bit of damage from when the shell was fired but not much it does have a chunk of outer case missing it is in very nice condition with its original markings still partly visible it is dated 1914 the head does still have a lot of its original dirty brass colour and some of its original shiny brass colour in places and has been very well cleaned it is a very nice example perfect for display or any collection and rare one for the collection. This head was recovered many years ago from the area of what was the are that the British first aid station was in Aveluy woods which was a British rear area during the battle on the Somme in July 1916.A very nice and rare relic from the famous battlefield of 1916 on the Western Front.
