    This is brass shell case dated 1903 with maker stamps for German 3.7cm maxim navy anti aircraft gun this was then used later on in war by the Army to make up a shortage of anti aircraft guns on the Western Front.The case is in relic but solid condition it is rusty but not crumbling or braking up the case has some damage around the neck but still retains some of its original brass colour and a nice find from the battlefield.The case was recovered from the Fricourt on the 1916 Somme battlefield in France a very nice relic and rare to find relic from this savage battle fought from 1916 to 1918.
