    This is a British 25 pounder artillery gun shell fuse number 119 for high explosive shells wooden crate.The box is complete other then the inside racking the wood is still solid with no major damage still retains its original paintwork and has original black,white stamped markings on the out side of the box with yellow paintwork as well .The box which both hinges are in nice condition and work perfectly also has its metal wire carry handles the lid still opens and closes and the catches work properly the box has stamped dated 4-42 on the side of it along with many other markings all clear to read a fantastic condition example of this hard box to find.The box comes from Normandy so would have been used during the fighting in the Normandy battlefield in the summer of 1944.
