This is a very rare find from the battlefield a British Army Wooden Bicycle wooden wheel which is damaged slightly bent with a few damaged spokes. The wheel which is near complete but with no tyre but some tyre remains the wood still retains its wooden brown colour and has its maker label remains it is in relic but solid condition it is rusty but not braking up or falling apart at all it has been very well cleaned perfect to display or for any collection. The wheel was recovered in a house in the village of Heilly which was the site of the 36th casualty clearing station set up in April 1916 and used by the British though out the battle of the Somme in 1916.The wheel comes with 2x A5 laminated information cards.
