This is a British officers sam brown leather belt which is complete and still retains its lovely brown colour and brass buckle. The belt has been well used and it is in nice solid condition semi-relic at worst the leather is very solid not braking up at all and perfect for display or any collection and very rare to find from the battlefield especially in this condition. This belt was found many years ago with other British and French items in the basement of a House near Dunkirk all left over after the evacuation in May-June 1940.They have now come from the private collection which they had been in for many years since they were found a very nice and rare relic from the Dunkirk pocket of 1940.

The Battle of Dunkirk took place in Dunkirk, France, during the Second World War between the Allies and Nazi Germany. As part of the Battle of France on the Western Front, the Battle of Dunkirk was the defence and evacuation of British and Allied forces in Europe from 26 May – 4 June 1940.
