    This is a British or Canadian soldiers 1938 pattern mark 2 brodie helmet with some battle damage a hit on one edge.The helmet is in  relic condition but nice solid condition it is rusty but not braking up it has has been nicely cleaned still with some original paintwork on it does have a few rust holes but still perfect to display.The helmet is dated 1938 on the chin strap clips but it is missing its leather liner the helmet is still a cracking and very rare relic.This helmet was recovered from the garden of a house during building work in the village of Bernieres-sur-mere which is directly behind Juno beach where the Canadians landed on the 6th June on the D-Day landings in Normandy in the summer of 1944.
