    This is a British soldiers Mark 2 Brodie Helmet with mark 3 Chin strap 1941 pattern and dated 1941 very nice condition still with most of its original green paintwork.The helmet has a large impact dent possibly shrapnel hit clear to see also is missing its rim edge and has a clear to see maker stamp on the inside of it the helmet is missing its leather liner and chin strap.The helmet still has both its chinstrap holder clips both dated 41 the helmet has no holes it is in semi-relic condition at worst it is in very solid condition and a very nice example with a lot of original colour and has been very well cleaned and still smooth to the touch very rare to find from this famous battle.The helmet was found on a brocante in the town of Coutances which was a battlefield and the front line area in mid July 1944 in Normandy the summer battlefield after the D-Day landings.
