    This is a Rare find a British wooden ammunition crate for 7.92 besa machine guns on a Churchill tank.The crate is missing its lid but still with paper labels on the outside on both sides clear to read in some places you can see the 7.92 and BESA the metal sealing straps are still in place it has been opened and used it is empty of contents and has a number 7 on the side the box is overall in lovely condition for a battlefield found wooden crate and this type of crate even rarer.The wood is still very solid condition a bit damaged from ware and tear it has had wood worm at some point it retains its original colour it has been very well cleaned and is a rare one for display or any collection.The box was found in a Barn on a Farm in the village of Clecy near Falaise in Normandy used by the British during the fighting in the Normandy battlefield in the summer of 1944.
