This is a Russian 45mm anti-tank gun brass shell case fantastic condition rare example with ink stamped markings all fairly readable to see including the 1943 date the case does not look relic its is in lovely condition other then the damage to the top neck after being fired it has been very well cleaned and overall lovely condition .The case is complete and retains its original brass colour but is partly discoloured not sure if it has been buried because of its lovely condition possibly found in water or dry chalky ground which protected it the case still has all of its stamps and markings with the date 1943 on the bottom all perfectly clear it is cracking example perfect for display or any collection. The case was recovered from near the village of Plota which is south Prokhorovka ware the main tank battle was on the 12th July 1943 the site of the largest Tank battle of the war and the last great German offensive of the war in the East at Kursk in Russia.
