    This is a nice group parts from a battle of Britain of Messerschmitt 109. The parts are 4 sections of aluminium airframe they still retain some of there original colours and have some paint remains. There is also 2 sections of mag allow engine case with black paint remains all the parts still have some dirt attached but have been very well cleaned but would clean up more if you wanted to they are perfect for display or any collection and are 2-6 inches long in  size .The parts come from German Messerschmitt bf 109E-4 work number 1606 of 3/JG3 shot down on the 15th September 1940 and crashed at Pluckley Brickworks near Charing in Kent. The parts come with a A5 laminated information card with pictures.

    German Messerschmitt bf 109E-4 work number 1606 of 3/JG3.The plane was piloted by Oberleutnant Reumschuessel the staffel kapitan on the 15th September 1940 at 2.00pm the plane was shot down.

    This Messerschmitt was in combat with RAF fighters when it was severely damaged in a dogfight over Kent the plane crashed at Thorn Farm, Pluckley Brickworks near Charing, Kent. Oberleutnant Reumschuessel bailed out and was captured unhurt by the home guard.

    On Sunday, 15 September 1940, the Luftwaffe launched its largest and most concentrated attack against London in the hope of drawing out the RAF into a battle of annihilation. Around 1,500 aircraft took part in the air battles which lasted until dusk. The action was the climax of the Battle of Britain.
