    This is Tyre from under-carriage wheel which is complete pretty undamaged from being in a crash but does have a impact mark on one side it still retains its original black colour finish.This tyre still has many maker markings with made in usa and part numbers stamped on it which are completely readable this is a large tyre in fantastic condition and rare to get from the crash site complete and in such condition.The tyre comes from RAF Curtiss Mohawk which took off from Boscombe Down airfield the pilot was squadron leader John Edgar Dutton on a test flight while in the air a fire started and at 10.30am on the 1st March 1941 the plane dived out of the sky and crashed in to a field in Wiltshire.The tyre along with other parts were recovered 65 years later from the crash site the tyre is perfect for display or any collection and comes with a A5 laminated information sheet with history of plane and dig.
