This is a rare find from the battlefield in this condition a pretty much complete German M24 stick grenade wooden handle. The handle has no maker markings that can be seen and does have a hole in the wood but is in fantastic condition for a wooden relic it still has its metal screw base the wood is solid not braking up or crumbling still in very solid condition the handle has been lightly cleaned it still retains a lot of original colour perfect for display or any collection and perfect to go back with a head if you have one .The stick grenade handle remains were recovered from a field near Trun, which we think was a pit dug by the allies where lots of German equipment was thrown in and buried after the battle in the Falaise Pocket, Normandy in France 1944. A nice rare relic from the famous Normandy battlefield.
