German Afrikakorps wooden covered water bottle dated 1942 with battle damage recovered from Monte Cassino the Italian battlefield of 1944from a local museum which closed down in 2015

This is a hard to find item a German Afrikakorps wooden covered water bottle dated 1942 on the side with some of its maker markings partly clear to see. The bottle has battle damage impact hit on the back of it the wood is broken and cracked around the impact hit and there is an hole in the bottle its self it stills retains its brown colour it is missing its bakerlite screw top it is a lovely example of the famous Afrikakorps water bottle in battlefield found condition it is in nice well clean condition perfect for display or any collection. The water bottle was recovered from Monte Cassino the Italian battlefield of 1944 the water bottle was recovered many years ago and has been in a local museum since which closed down in 2015.A very nice relic from the very famous Italian battlefield.The bottle comes with a A5 laminated information card.
