    This is a small airframe structure joint which is part of the main frame of the glider it is in relic condition.This swivel joint which has rusted solid it   is still has some original gray/green paintwork very clear to seeit has been very well cleaned it is very solid and a nice condition relic which was recovered from the crash site of one of these gliders in the 1970's on the Island.This airframe joint which is 5 inches long by 3 half inches wide and is from German DFS 230 Assault glider that crash landed on Crete in May 1941 during the German invasion and capture of the Island. A very nice part from the famous battle of Crete ware the Fallschirmjager made there name and a rare glider to find parts from that took part in the battle perfect for display and comes with a A5 laminated information sheet.
