    Rare large Section of marston mating or steel roadway it is a solid relic it is very rusty and slightly ripped and bent it has been left as found still with some dirt and muck attached it is a large section at 44 inches long by 16 inches wide. The section of roadway was recovered from Le Molay Airfield in Calvados, Basse-Normandy Region. The American airbase was located approximately 2 miles north of Le Molay-Littry it was established as a temporary airfield after D-Day on 21st June 1944 shortly after Allied landings. The section of mating comes with 2x A5 laminated information cards.
