    This is a engine label with readable markings and has been burnt in the fire when the plane crashed and fuel tank filler cap which has maker marking that can be seen the cap is all but complete but both have some damage and marks from the impact of the crash the parts are 3-5 inches long.These engine parts were recovered from Junkers Ju88A-4 bomber of KG54 shot down 13th August 1940 and crashed at Swanbourne Lake in Arundel. A very nice part from the famous battle of Britain and German JU88 bomber this one a staffelkapitan perfect for display and comes with a A5 laminated information sheet.


    Junkers Ju88A-4 bomber of KG54 the plane was on a raid over South East England when it was shot down at 6.30am on the 13th August 1940.

    The Ju88 bomber which was on a raid to bomb Farnborough when it came under attack by RAF Hurricanes of 43 Squadron and 601 Squadron. The plane crashed at Swanbourne Lake in Arundel. The crew were Hauptmann A.W Strauch bailed out but was found badley wounded and died in hospital two days later. Oberleutnant H.Rose, Unteroffizier H.Scholz both bailed out and were captured un hurt and Feldwabel W.Bickel also bailed out but was killed.Both crew man who died that day are buried nearby.
