    This is a nice group parts from a battle of Britain of Messerschmitt 109. The parts are 5 sections of aluminium airframe and 1 metal airframe section all are well cleaned up there do have some original paint remains including one bit with red paint so properly from the engine surround which were painted yellow or red they are in nice condition they do have some paint remains and a lot of original colours they have been very well cleaned and are perfect for display or any collection and are 3-9 inches long in size .The parts come from German Messerschmitt bf 109E-4 work number 1606 of 3/JG3 shot down on the 15th September 1940 and crashed at Pluckley Brickworks near Charing in Kent. The parts come with a A5 laminated information card with pictures.

    German Messerschmitt bf 109E-4 work number 1606 of 3/JG3.The plane was piloted by Oberleutnant Reumschuessel the staffel kapitan on the 15th September 1940 at 2.00pm the plane was shot down.

    This Messerschmitt was in combat with RAF fighters when it was severely damaged in a dogfight over Kent the plane crashed at Thorn Farm, Pluckley Brickworks near Charing, Kent. Oberleutnant Reumschuessel bailed out and was captured unhurt by the home guard.

    On Sunday, 15 September 1940, the Luftwaffe launched its largest and most concentrated attack against London in the hope of drawing out the RAF into a battle of annihilation. Around 1,500 aircraft took part in the air battles which lasted until dusk. The action was the climax of the Battle of Britain.
