    This is a French Army M26 Adrian helmet which is missing its badge but with its war time owners name inside the front rim very clear to see.The helmet has no leather liner but does have its leather chin strap complete nice and solid leather and has all of its original paintwork in nice condition with no real damage on the outside and on the inside also has another word scratched in to it and a black ink stamped marking both on the inside  it does not have much rust at all a very little bit of surface rust in places it has been very well cleaned and is a very solid shell perfect for display or any collection.This Adrian helmet along with some others come from a private collection in Bruges in Belgium a lot of them were used by the Belgium army during the battle in May 1940 and were taken after the surrender to the Germans where a lot of Belgium troops also some French and British troops surrendered in Bruges its self on the 26th-27th May.This is one of those French ones taken from French soldier taken pow in the city and some of the helmets are civil defence and were used in Bruges during the war and occupation on the home front.
