    This item is a French soldiers leather ammo pouch remains still retains its black colour the leather is in fantastic condition for its age it is dry and not braking up and is in very solid condition it has only survived this well as it has been in a chalk lined bunker for 100 years only ever seen a few of these ever found so very rare.The pouch was recovered from inside a German bunker near the village of Bucquay which was a German artillery position during the later part of The Somme battle in 1916 a very nice and rare relic from the famous Somme battlefield.
