    German Fuel can the famous Jerry can which has all maker stamps and markings and is dated 1942.The tin has most of its original gray paintwork on it but with a nice unusual maker stamp in the middle AUSTRIA,WIEN the tin has been very well cleaned and is perfect to display.The can which has some battle damage looks like it blown on the inside with no rust holes it also has some large dents and expanded in the explosion it does have some surface rust where the paint is missing and it the cap still opens and closes also locks perfectly well it is in overall very nice condition and a very nice example of this famous fuel can battlefield found and semi-relic at worst.The fuel can was recovered in the local area that it was found in which was a brocante in the town of Coutances which was a battlefield and the front line area in mid July 1944 in Normandy the summer battlefield after the D-Day landings.
