    German soldiers M1898-1905 pattern Butcher Bayonet  complete blade lovely condition relic with maker marking clear to see.The bayonet blade is relic but not badly rusty just with some light surface rust but mostly just heavily pitted and does retain some original colour it is still very solid the blade is full length it is missing its handle completely which has snapped off it has been nicely cleaned it is perfect to display or any collection and a nice one for the collection.This bayonet blade was recovered in woods near the village of Flers on the Somme battlefield 1916-1918. Flers was the first village captured using tanks in September 1916 during the battle of the Somme.
