This is a rare find its self from the battlefield a German Nebelkerze 39 smoke pot fired by armoured vehicles used by the 1st SS Panzer Division. The pot is in nice condition for a relic the bottom has ripped away from the tin and it still has remains of its original green paintwork and white stamped markings but does have a couple of rust holes in the side it is relic but is solid and not braking up at all and very rare to find from the battlefield in such good condition as it is only thin metal the tin has about 30%-40% of its original paint work maybe more on the outside and the inside nothing but it is empty and completely inert a very nice example of this smoke bomb battlefield found that has been very well cleaned perfect for display or any collection. The bomb was recovered near Stavelot in the Ardennes Forest so this is how we know it is 1st SS Panzer Division they were the only troops in the area during the battle.A very nice and rare relic from the Ardennes Forest used during battle of Bulge in the winter of 1944-1945 and Hitlers last offensive in the West. The tin lid comes with a A5 laminated information card with picture.
