    This is an original German soldiers dog tag 3rd company for the 46th Pionieer battalion they fought in France 1940 then in Russia from 1941 to Warsaw in 1944,Berlin 1945 it is a complete zinc made tag with the markings fairly clear to see not all readable.This tag is in very nice solid condition for a relic the tag still retains its original colour with only some damage,some pitting and a bit of rust from being buried but is a cracking condition dog tag for a battlefield relic and is a great collectors piece.The tag was recovered outside Berlin from the 1945 battlefield and the fighting in last weeks of the war and the last days of Reich against the Russian army.A very nice relic from the battle of Berlin in 1945 and the last days of the Third Reich.The tag came from a flea market in the Centre of Berlin from a local man selling some of his collection.

    German 46 Pioneer battalion formed in October 1935 fought in the battle of France May 1940 then part of the 2nd Panzer division in the Balkans campaign from 6th April 1941 ending up in Greece.21st June 1941 Operation Barbarrossa as part of the 11th Army then part of the 1st Panzer Army in the Caucasus Region of Russia.In 1943 to early 1944 part of the 17th Army ending up around Sevastopol in August 1944 fought in the Warsaw uprising and by early 1945 in the Berlin area of Germany fighting the Russians surrendered in April 1945 to the Russians and some men to the Americans.
