This is a German soldiers gas mask complete in its tin with the filter as well and in as found condition.The tin is in relic but solid condition still covered in mud from the recovery it may well have some original paintwork if cleaned but is missing its lid and does have some rust holes the mask pretty much complete but does have some damage the filter is stuck in the bottom of the tin but the whole thing again a solid relic not braking up or falling apart and the complete tin is in as found condition when recovered from the battlefield still covered in mud and dirt and is perfect for display or any collection and a rare one for the collection.The gas mask and tin was recovered from near the village of Plota which is south Prokhorovka ware the main tank battle was on the 12th July 1943 the site of the largest Tank battle of the war and the last great German offensive of the war in the East at Kursk in Russia.
