    This is a German soldiers M35 helmet which is in very nice condition semi- relic at worst very smooth to the touch with a blast damage crack on the top from the fighting around the city .The helmet has some surface rust in places but not very much it is solid and not braking up or crumbling and has no rust holes still smooth to the touch on the outside and on the inside it is a bit pitted in places it has been very well cleaned post war which gives it the brown finnish the helmet has no leather liner or chin strap and is a size 62 with a faint maker stamp.The helmet has been very well cleaned and is perfect for display or any collection and a perfect restoration project the helmet is a cracking find from this famous battlefield.The helmet was taken after the battle in the dutch city as a souvenir the hole was drilled in the front rim and it was hung on the wall of a house for many years until it was bought on a Brocante in Enidhoven where it had been used during the fighting in late 1944 and during Operation market garden.
