This is a German soldiers M35 helmet with the famous Normandy chicken wire still attached which is in very nice condition semi- relic at worst more like not like at all very smooth to the touch. The helmet has some surface rust in places but not very much it is solid and not braking up or crumbling and has no rust holes or damage still smooth to the touch on the outside and inside the green paintwork is the green paintwork which is 80% still there on the inside near all of it no decals can be seen late war decal less helmet by the looks of it also has the soldiers name hand written on the inside by this has been scratched out partly. The helmet has a reproduction liner which looks nice but has no chin strap and is maker stamped and is a size 64 very clear to see on the inside rim The helmet has been very well cleaned and is perfect for display or any collection and a perfect restoration project the helmet which is so hard to find with the chicken wire camouflage on is a cracking find from this famous battlefield. The helmet was found on a Brocante in St Lo in Normandy so would have been used in the Summer of 1944 during the Allied landings on D-Day.
