    This a German soldiers pickelhaube parts which are a pair of brass sections one is the top section that run across the top of the helmet the brass is green but solid is in fantastic condition for its age they are dry and not braking up and in very solid condition they have only survived this well as it has been in a chalk lined bunker for 100 years.The group of parts were recovered from inside a German bunker near the village of Bucquay which was a German artillery position during the later part of The Somme battle in 1916 a very nice and rare relic from the famous Somme battlefield.
