This is a German soldiers rubber gas mask it is in relic but solid condition the rubber is not cracking or braking up at all it is missing its eyelets and back straps but does have is filter connector still attached it is still completely covered in dirt and muck from the recovery very rare to find from the battlefield in this condition. The mask was recovered from a field near Trun, which we think was a pit dug by the allies where lots of German equipment was thrown in and buried after the battle, Falaise Pocket in France 1944. A nice relic from the Normandy battlefield summer 1944.
