German wooden carbon monoxide indicator (Kohlenoxydanzeiger) box found in Normandy. The box still retains its original markings and paintwork, both hinges in nice condition and also has its carry handle. The lid still opens and closes perfectly, the markings can be seen both inside and outside the box and even has French hand written marking on the inside of the box. This item comes from Normandy so would have been used during the fighting in the Normandy battlefield in the summer of 1944.
