This is a German mg 34/42 single ammunition tin which is in relic condition there is very light surface all over but has no rust holes at all .The lid still opens and closes the hinge is un broken the lock on the tin is still there and does work properly but the rare bit is the remains of yellow paint the sand camouflage paintwork which is very clear to see in a lot of places it is maker marked and dated 1943 it has been very well cleaned and the inside is rusty but not to much and again has a lot of sand paintwork very clear to see it is overall in lovely condition for a relic on the lid the handle has gone and does still have the 2 side handles but a very nice example of this mg ammunition tin battlefield recovered especially with this paintwork. The ammunition tin was recovered from Monte Cassino the Italian battlefield of 1944 it was recovered many years ago and has been in a local museum since which closed down in 2015.A very nice relic from the very famous Italian battlefield. The tin comes with a A5 laminated information card with pictures.
