This item is 3 French soldiers army jacket buttons which still have there original markings the brass has discoloured but are very solid they survived this well as they have been in a chalk lined bunker for 100 years. The buttons were recovered from inside a German bunker near the village of Bucquay which was a German artillery position during the later part of The Somme battle in 1916 a very nice and rare relic from the famous Somme battlefield.
