This is a cracking section of metal airframe section with blue/green paintwork very clear to see wonderfully clean which is from the underbelly of the aircraft. This section which is 4-5 sections riveted together it is a rusty metal panel but still very solid it still retains some of its original colour and is in nice solid condition it has ripped and bent by the impact of the crash it has been nicely cleaned it is perfect for display or any collection it is 16 inches long by 5 inches wide in size from the famous JU87 stuka shot down in the Battle of Britain very rare to get such a nice part from a stuka lost in the battle of Britain. The part comes from German stuka dive bomber of 3/STG77 shot down on 18th August 1940 and crashed at North Barn in Chidham in Sussex .The part comes with a A5 laminated information sheet with a picture of the crash site in 1940.
German Ju87b-1 stuka dive bomber of 3/STG77 the plane was shot down at 2.30pm on the 18th August 1940 by RAF fighters.
The plane crashed to earth at North Barn in Chidham, Sussex killing both of the crew who were Oberleutnant Dietrich Lehmann and Uunteroffizier Hans Winiarski. Below is a photo of the crash site taken that day.
