    This is a German soldiers M40 helmet and still has some remains of its original green paintwork partly clear to see on the inside and outside but also has its single decal eagle very clear to see the remains of.The helmet has some rust holes,damage and cracks it is rusty but solid but the very rare bit is the original liner still in place the liner ring and chin strap clips are all still there and the leather liner its self is near complete still attached to the ring but most of the leather is now loose inside the helmet the leather is still its brown colour and is very solid dried out and not braking up or falling apart the helmet has been very nicely cleaned and is perfect for display or any collection and rare to get a helmet from the battlefield with such a complete liner.This helmet was recovered from near the village of Plota which is south Prokhorovka ware the main tank battle was on the 12th July 1943 the site of the largest Tank battle of the war and the last great German offensive of the war in the East at Kursk in Russia.
