    This is a Engine Cowling Fixing Catch this was one of the catches that held that held one of the main covers over the engine it has been nicely cleaned still with original green paintwork it is perfect for display and it has been mounted in to a glass fronted box frame with plane and crash information and pictures the frame is 11 inches by 9 inches in size.The part comes from RAF Hurricane L1865 of 501 Squadron was shot down on the 24th August 1940 and crashed at West Kingsdown in Kent. A very nice rare condition part from the famous battle of Britain and RAF Hurricane already to hang on the wall or stand on display.

    RAF Hurricane L1865 of 501 Squadron was shot down on the 24th August 1940 the Pilot was Pilot Officer K.R Aldridge.

    This RAF Hurricane was in combat with a Messerschmitt 109 over West Kingsdown in Kent the plane crashed at Pells Farm in West Kingsdown. Pilot Officer Aldridge baled out over Ryarsh he was injured and sustained a broken arm and was then admitted to Hospital.
