This is a group of 7 aluminium airframe sections all of a larger size then standard small smashed bits. These aluminium sections are of different condition some parts have corroded badly others not as bad and a few still shiny aluminium colour the corroded ones are from around the main airframe spar they are all still solid not braking up they have ripped and bent by the impact of the crash they still have some black and grey paintwork very clear to see on them they do still have some dirt and muck on them from the recovery but very little they have been very well cleaned and are perfect to display or any collection the size of the parts is 9-5 inches long. This airframe sections were recovered from Messerschmitt 110 of 3/ZG26 work number 3113 the plane was shot down on the 3rd of September 1940 and crashed at Canewdon in Essex. A very nice group of parts from the famous battle of Britain and German Messerschmitt 110 and comes with 2xA5 laminated information sheets with crash and recovery photos in 1940 and in 1986.

This Messerschmitt 110 was shot down by Hurricanes of Number 17 Squadron R.A.F during an attack on North Weald aerodrome. The plane crashed at Pudsey Hall Farm, Canewdon, near Rayleigh in Essex. The crew, Oberfeldwebel Gerhard Winker and Gefreiter Oskar Weiler baled out unhurt. Originally the subject of a major excavation in 1975 by the London
Air Museum the site was re-excavated in August 1986 by local enthusiasts and a lot more wreckage was discovered.
