This is a pair of sections of fabric which is the grey outer skin and the inner more rubber skin all retain there original colour it is a bit dirty from being used under the roof of the house they have been ripped teared from a larger section they are in nice and solid condition retaining a lot of there original colour they have been cleaned but are still a bit dirty they are perfect for display or any collection the sections are roughly 14- 24 inches long in size and comes with a A5 laminated information card.

The parts comes from a British Barrage Balloon used during world war 2 over a RAF base. A large section of balloon was found when renovating an old 1806 cottage near RAF Ludham in Norfolk which was a RAF base during the war. The material was being used as a waterproof membrane under the tiles of a large out house when the builders discovered it. The previous owner of the cottage used to work on the RAF base as a civilian worker during and after the war and that is how it is thought that is how they came by it. The item comes with a A5 laminated information sheet with pictures and is a very rare pair of parts because there is little to non original barrage balloon around these days.
