This is a very rare find German jet relic it is the front mounting bracket from the underbelly R.A.T.O pods or rocket assisted take off only used by the German Messerschmitt me262 jet. These R.A.T.O pods were not in wide spread use by the Luftwaffe and very hard to find any parts from them at all this front bracket which is in semi-relic condition it is very solid with surface rust not braking up or falling apart at all and is complete but still has a lot of original grey paintwork clear to see and the bolt is maker marked it has been very well cleaned perfect for display or any collection. The bracket was recovered on an old Luftwaffe airfield East of Essen which based Messerschmitt 262 jets from late 1944.A very rare German jet relic used in the defence of the Reich in the last months of the war. The bracket comes with a laminated A5 information card with pictures.
