This is a German single maxim machine gun ammunition tin in very good condition for 100 years old and very rare to find in this good a condition these days. The tin is in relic condition but a very nice condition relic with surface rust on the outside but still has a lot of blue and white original paintwork fairly clear to see with a maker stamp on the lid it is in very solid condition with a rust hole down one edge the lid still opens ,closes but does not lock but with more cleaning it properly could it still has its original metal carry handle which does not move its smaller side handles again both work. The inside of the box is in fairly good condition with some of its original green paintwork the whole box has been very well cleaned and is perfect for display or any collection and one of the best condition world war 1 maxim tins i have seen in a long time. The tin came from a private collection on the famous 1916-1918 Somme battlefield.
