    This is a large airframe structure joint which is part of the main frame of the aircraft it is in fantastic condition still retains a lot of its original dark green paintwork.This heavy solid joint is 4 parts still bolted together and has a part number stamped on one edge the part is in very good condition for a crash relic still straight and with very miner damage and to have so much paintwork on it the section is very solid and a cracking large relic which was recovered from the crash site of one of these gliders in the 1970's on the Island.This structure section which is 12 inches long by 6 inches and is from German DFS 230 Assault glider that crash landed on Crete in May 1941 during the German invasion and capture of the Island. A very nice part from the famous battle of Crete ware the Fallschirmjager made there name and a rare glider to find parts from that took part in the battle perfect for display and comes with a 5X7 laminated information sheet.
