    This is a large group of German soldiers leather ammunition pouch remains very rare to find from the battlefield.The leather still retains its original black colour it is in fantastic condition for its age and is in very solid condition the parts are 3-6 inches long the leather is dry and not braking up and still with some brass buckles attached these are very rare to find like this from the battlefield it is only because it has been in a chalk lined bunker for 100 years.The ammo pouch remains were recovered from inside a German bunker near the village of Bucquay which was a German artillery position during the later part of The Somme battle in 1916 a very nice relic from the famous Somme battlefield.
